Each year, the Society arranges a Cultural Tour, either abroad or in the UK. In the past, we have visited Amsterdam for the "Glory of the Golden Age" exhibition, Antwerp, St Petersburg, Jordan including Petra, Istanbul, Italy, Mexico including Mexico City and various other sites, Berlin and Dresden with their wonderful Museums and Palaces, and Northern Italy. Our latest visit was to Vienna. For the first time we also ran a UK tour -"The History and Historic House of Norfolk", which was a great success. These tours are both interesting and informative, and all those who have participated have, without exception, thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Wherever you are in the World, if you see a large group of enthusiastic people of a "certain age" in a museum, art gallery or palace, the chances are that they are a NADFAS group from some part of the UK! The theme of the 2011 Tour was "The Art and Palaces of Vienna", It was led by our retiring Chairman, Keith Bridges, and took place at end of September, and it was enjoyed by the all those who made up the party. A wealth of beautiful art and buildings made it a tour to be remembered. This year we are again planning to make two Tours, one in the the UK and one in Europe.
